RAZZ decided to celebrate SHAG Week (Sexual Health Awareness and Guidance Week) by arranging some blind dates in the student community! Keep up with the series here.
Jacob is a depop model who was looking for “someone to take my breath away”. Beatrice boasted that she’s a rugby lad predicted a 2:1 hoping to find someone with a shared interest in the length of a queue outside TP. We decided to put them on a date together.
Let’s find out firstly what Jacob had to say about the date…
Just to try out a blind date, meet someone new.
Can’t think of anything particularly awkward.
She was relatable and funny.
No, out of the fear of what my housemates might do.
Funny, relatable, easy to talk to.
We both agreed that it went quite well and it was interesting.
About 2 hours, yes.
Jacob seems like a man of few words but it seems like he had a good time. What did Beatrice think though?
To be honest was bricking it, had relatively low expectations but hopefully to semi get over the fear of dates.
I don’t really think so but he was quite good at making conversation to make it not awkward.
Quite varied topics to be honest everything from family to Wednesday TP.
Coincidently one of them randomly met them at intramural netball the next day – why is Exeter so small?
No idea but hopefully just pretty chill overall.
I think around two and half hours and yes it was a chill amount I think.
Probably not romantically as he was a bit older, we’re at different life stages but he was really nice.
We’re glad Beatrice got her TP chat in and that they had a nice time but seems like not a happily ever after this time. Best of luck to Jacob and Beatrice in the future!
