Unimumma’s Exam-Time Meals: Turkey Koftas

Serves 4


  • 500g turkey mince
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
  • 4 tsp cumin
  • 3 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 garlic cloves (grated)
  • ½ red onion (grated)
  • 1 egg


  1. Combine all the ingredients together, season with salt and pepper and make into kofta shapes (this is easier with wet hands). :Leave in the fridge for 10 mins.
  2. Place on a grill, and grill for 15-18 mins.

I like to eat them hot, in a pitta bread and some garlicky yogurt or tzatziki keeping the rest for your lunch boxes which you can fill up with lettuce, hummus, other veg!
