Preview: Exeter University Concert Band’s ‘Spring Concert’ @ St Davids Church

Following the success of their Christmas concert in St Margaret’s Church, Topsham, Exeter University Concert Band will be performing a new program of music at their Spring Concert, this Saturday, 17th March, at St David’s Church, Exeter.

Regularly performing across Exeter and the South West, the band, Exeter’s largest ensemble with over 115 members, also travels to Europe to perform every Easter. In recent years, they have travelled to and performed in Belgium, The Netherlands, The Czech Republic, France, and Ireland. This year they will be travelling to Dusseldorf, Germany.

The Spring Concert will feature a wide variety of music from the stage and screen, as well as a selection of traditional music written for concert bands. The evening will see renditions of well known music from West Side Story, La La Land, Doctor Who, Alvamar Overture, and Inchon.

“Impressive, outstanding, and ever so phenomenal”

Last year, Exeter University Concert Band received the “most-improved society” award at the ExTunees awards and their performances have received fantastic reviews, describing them as “impressive, outstanding, and ever so phenomenal”.
