EJ Plays: Oscar Noms

It’s awards season! And whether you think they’re relevant or not, around 1.08 million people in the UK tune in to watch the Academy Awards (according to very dependable The Hollywood Reporter), with upward of 65.346 million keeping up with the Oscar winners worldwide.

This EJ Plays: Oscar Noms playlist is a compilation of music from films nominated for this year’s Academy Awards. Although it isn’t an exhaustive list, the playlist features some of the names expected to win big tonight, as well as the soundtracks nominated for original score, original song, and in Baby Driver’s case, sound editing and mixing.

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion’s “Bellbottoms” is too good to miss out so we squeezed it on in there. YouTube it if you haven’t seen Baby Driver; rumour has it editor Paul Machliss cut the entire thing on location https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ARFyrM6gVs.
