You may be aware it’s January again: congratulations on making it back and welcome to the year 2018. There are so many reasons why people don’t like January: it’s dark, it’s cold, and after the excessive festivities of December, January seems rather dull. These complaints and various others are symptomatic of the dreaded “January blues”, which is apparently a real mood-disorder and one that a few of our top national newspapers offer advice in combating. The Daily Mail suggests “lying flat on the floor with your legs raised”; The Independent says, “summer is a state of mind!”; and The Telegraph recommends “50 bright and cheerful buys” so that you can forgo feeling miserable for feeling miserable in a nausea-inducing neon knit.
Don’t worry though, whilst you wait for the return of spring and the chance to wear at least one less layer, Razz have another playlist for you. Featuring Laura Marling, Mavis Staples, and Jackson C. Frank, “EJ Plays: Blues Runs the Game” contains 1 hour and 9 minutes of music to accompany you through the rest of the month.
