Opening six new stores across the UK and Ireland, Dr. Martens has finally arrived in Exeter! On the 27th October, Dr. Martens opened the doors to their new store on Exeter’s High Street and will be hosting an official opening celebration on Wednesday 8th November for press and customers. The event will be covered by media outlets throughout the south west and Razz Magazine’s Sasha Macauley will be covering the celebration so stay tuned for a promising review of the new store!
The event will be featuring the Black Foxxes, a three-piece band who, like Dr. Martens, came from humble beginnings, and aims to play what comes naturally and to do it as loud as possible. The Muncie Girls will be supporting the main band, and the event will also feature exclusive artwork and illustrations by local artist Josh Monk as well as an assortment of Dr. Martens own seasonal collections.
Dr. Martens is a brand long adopted by youth cultures following the birth of the iconic Dr. Martnes boot in the 1960s, and is aimed towards people who have their own individual style, people with a proud sense of self-expression, and people who are different. Dr. Martens Exeter has promised to embrace the local community by reflecting the brands rich history and offering further community based events and meetups in the following weeks.
If you’re interested in a pair of iconic Dr. Martens, want to replace a worn-out pair, or are just curious, then head over to 205 High Street and explore!
