Celebrating its first year under a new name, Poltimore Festival (formerly named Arts On The Move) is back, and looks set to be its best year yet.

Poltimore House, an aristocratic house which once was a girls school, a wartime home and a hospital, provides the backdrop to the diverse plethora of music, film, theatre, comedy and arts that Poltimore promises. With the opportunity to experience such a wide and exciting range of creative talent across the arts whilst enjoying the picturesque scenery of the South West, the festival really offers something not to be missed. It is a festival with something for everyone, with students particularly benefiting with discounted ticket prices of £8.

Dubbed as “Exeter’s own Glastonbury”, Poltimore Festival arguably offers more than what huge festivals can, as festival-goers will be able to experience the best of both worlds: a huge variety of events to take part in, alongside the intimacy and beauty of the cultural setting. As well as its diversity across the arts, this year’s lineup also promises music from all different kinds of genres. With music ranging from the Indie-Rock vibe of Black Thistles and the folk-inspired Daisy Vaughan to Chebs, the band that “brings the party” and Wildwood Kin, who are set to show off their unique harmonies at Glastonbury later this year, be prepared to discover a new-found love for names you may not have heard before, but certainly will not forget. Other acts to watch out for include Bridges, Delmer Darion, Lipstick Jumpsuit, National Acrobats, Scott Morrison & Ishy, The Little Unsaid, Tobias Ben Jacob, TripToTori and WGWN.

Poltimore Festival is the perfect way to celebrate the end of exams, spend a fun day out with your friends or family and experience the best of the arts across Devon.
