Summer Adventures Volunteering Opportunity

Don’t Miss Out…

There’s a great volunteering opportunity this summer if you’re unsure about what to do! It’s called ‘Summer Adventures’, a camp which will be taking place in the first two weeks of August in Exeter for young carers only. Young carers are children and young people who have to take on practical caring responsibilities that would usually only be done by adults. Young carers also have to ensure the emotional well-being of the person they care for, which, again, would usually only be expected to be done by adults. It is easy to see how this may be a physically and emotionally tiring responsibility, therefore, Summer Adventures are offering the chance to provide them with a well-deserved break. For these few weeks, we give them their childhood back; we allow them to be taken care of. If you want to help and volunteer, which would look great on your CV as well as offering you a chance to make a real difference, please apply!

There are positions open for the core committee volunteers, which include: Publicity and Recruitment Officer; Fundraising and Finances Officer; Welfare Officer and Activities Officer.

The closing dates for this project will be February 24th for applications to attend the project, and for volunteers the deadline is 7th March.
