The Reconstructionists is an online collaboration between illustrator Lisa Congdon and writer Maria Popova, celebrating women who have changed the way we define ourselves as a culture and live our lives as individuals of any gender.
This colourful series of photos presents so many different women, and reminds us of the part they have played in our history. Each illustration’s accompanying quote also reminds the reader that further change can still be instigated. Here are a few of my favourites:
